Tot Swim Guidelines
TOT SWIM GUIDELINES
Tot Swim is designed for parents and guardians with toddler-aged children who are being introduced to the aquatic environment. This program provides a relaxed, supportive space for young swimmers to explore the water alongside a trusted adult.
Purpose
Tot Swim focuses on water comfort, play, and positive early experiences in the pool. It is not a formal swim lesson, but an opportunity for caregivers to help their child build confidence and familiarity in the water.
Age Range
- Children 6 months to 5 years old
Supervision Requirements
- A parent or guardian must be in the water with their child at all times.
- Adults must remain within arm’s reach of their swimmer at all times.
- Guardians are responsible for active supervision both on deck and in the locker rooms.
Pool Space & Location
- Tot Swim participants are expected to remain in the kiddie pool area.
- Tot Swim often takes place alongside other aquatic activities; space is shared, and cooperation with other patrons and staff is required.
Swim Diaper Policy
- Swim diapers are required for all children who are not fully potty trained.
- Children without proper swim diapers may be asked to exit the pool.
Facility Expectations
- All participants must follow posted pool rules and staff instructions.
- Proper locker room supervision is required at all times.
Tot Swim is a great way to introduce young children to the water in a safe, supportive, and family-centered environment. If you have questions about readiness, supervision, or expectations, our aquatics staff are happy to help.
