MUSIC IN THE PARKS

The crew at Wrangell Parks & Recreation are determined to create a love of our local parks, trails and green spaces.  What better way to encourage Wrangellites to visit a park than hosting MUSIC IN THE PARKS!

MUSIC
  • Stay tuned for information on the upcoming MUSIC IN THE PARKS, Summer 2024
  • Park in the Shoemaker Harbor parking lot
  • Handicap parking available at specific location at Shoemaker Park
  • Food drop-off available

PARKING
  • Please park in the Shoemaker Harbor parking area, south end - closest to Shoemaker Park side (do not block boat launch)
  • The entrance & exit at Shoemaker Park will be blocked to discourage through traffic
  • Carpool if possible
  • Handicap parking available at Shoemaker Park
  • Reduce speed while driving through the harbor parking lot to ensure safety
  • Avoid blocking the boat launch area - this area should be clear and accessible by boaters

FOOD
  • The Wrangell Police Department will BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers
  • Condiments available, along with paper plates and napkins
  • Thanks to Wrangell PD for donating the food for this event and cooking it up for the people!
  • Bring along potluck foods for sharing - food drop off available at Shoemaker Park

SEATING
  • Aside from several park benches, additional seating is not available
  • Bring along camp chairs, or a lawn blanket

DOGS
  • Please keep your dogs at home
  • The P&R crew will work hard to ensure the park is free of dog waste, prior to this event

WEATHER & BUGS
  • Dress for whatever weather Southeast Alaska decides to toss our way
  • The bugs will be joining us - be prepared
