DESCRIPTION
As children and teenagers, many of us had the experience of participating in recreational sports leagues including baseball, softball and basketball. Not only were they a good place to bond with our friends (and make new ones), they also got us moving and helped foster a competitive – and cooperative – spirit. Yet as adults, a lot of people don’t tend to consider sports as a feasible hobby; between work hours and family activities, there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day. However, recreational sports have multiple benefits for adults, just as they do for kids and teens – in fact, adults are likely much more in need of the physical and psychological boosts that playing rec league sports can provide.

Find current adult recreation activities, below.

STRENGTH TRAINING OPTIONS
Big thanks to Chad & Sabrina Yoder, who helped to create strength training workout options, including the WORKOUT OF THE WEEK (WOW). We encourage folks to give the workouts a try, reaching out with questions regarding technique and/or equipment useage.

As a way to support & encourage patrons who are new to strength training, Chad Yoder has offered to help with basic technique, committing workout M/W/F, 6:00am-7:00am. He's volunteering his time to provide a bit of guidance.

All workout options can be scaled to individual fitness levels by increasing/decreasing weight, reps and/or rounds. Patrons can also eliminate prescribed jumping, opting for stepping out box jumps, jumping lunges/squats, etc. Beginners should start light and progress slowly. If you have a previous injury or medicallly diagnosed chronic disease, please speak to your doctor prior to starting a new workout routine.

Encorporating a warm-up and cool-down routine is crucial. We've also listed mobility movements that patrons can choose from. Not sure of a movement, no problem. We're working on QR codes that allow access to movement examples. You can also google the movements for a reference

Please avoid dropping weighted bars, as we do not currently have the appropriate flooring.
Gym goers must have a waiver on file and pay the daily entrance fee.

SEE LINKS AND FORMS BELOW to access STRENGTH TRAINING WORKOUT OPTIONS, the WOW and DYNAMIC WARM UP MOVEMENTS.
